A two day conclave was
organized to bring all the stakeholders in startup ecosystem under one roof.
Innovations have a
strong linkage to the world of start-up. Solutions to unsolved problems from
the basis for thinkers to innovate. Industry is constantly working through its
Research & Development engaging intellectuals to constantly upgrade existing
products/services or develop new lines of product/service categories. On the
other hand Incubation centres nurture startups and provide necessary assistance
to startups with innovative products/services to become viable businesses.
Investors on the other hand are keen to engage with startups that have business
propositions that can be scaled up and wider market acceptance.
Innovation ecosystem
thus has these three major stakeholders working closely with each other. It is
imperative to forge partnership of all the three for a meaningful outcome.
Sahyog – Forging
Partnership for Development of Innovation and Start-ups is a platform provided
by Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Linkages at Savitribai Phule Pune
University to bring the stakeholders from these three domains for deliberation
through sessions and panel discussions.

colleges who have set up Innovation & Start-up Cell under CIIL and sixty
start-ups participated in the program.
This
program was Inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. N.R.Karmalkar, Mr. Abhijit Pawar-Chairman,
APG, and Shri Milind Kamble, DICCI were present. Industry leader Mr. Anand
Chordia – Director, Chordia Foods (Suhana Masale), Kiran Deshpande, TiE, Mithun
John, CEO, Maharashtra State Innovation Society, Ashwini Deshpande, Founder,
Elephant Design guided the audience. Discussions on Role of Innovation was
elaborately discussed. Successful start-ups who have received second &
third series funding Akshay Mehrotra of Early Salary, Ashwin Naik from Vatsalya
Hospitals addressed gathering. Elaborate discussions were done on role of
investors in start-ups guided by Chartered Member TiE Vinit Patni, Shekhar
Jadhav, Vinit Deo & Vivek Sadhale.
A total of
23 speakers addressed to august gathering. This was provided as a platform for start-ups to discuss and get insights on
what needs to be done in start-up ecosystem.
This initiative brought industry,
start-ups and investors under one platform and deliberations were done how to
make start-ups successful.
